The action-mapping, which is carried out either by researchers or through independent data entry (crowd-sourcing), collects information and data, which are hosted in the interactive environment of the Platform.
Through its tools and applications, the Platform offers live comparison of data related to climate change actions taken at local, national as well as European level. To do so, an easy-to-use search tool is offered by the platform via a simple but detailed taxonomy of actions, classified according to their type (e.g. strategy, project or planning), the sector (e.g. public administration/governance, education, tourism infrastructure, health, vulnerable communities, etc. .etc.), the administrative level (e.g. local community, city, county, or national level) or the implementation stage (e.g. completed, under execution or under planning). Based on the active participation of its users, and the ability to periodically upload data, the Platform will be able, in the long-run, to offer a holistic and constantly up to date picture of the investments and all kinds of climate change initiatives undertaken in Greece.
